In the 30's not many black people had the choice to go to school but the main charachter does. At the school Invisble Man is attending he is also a driver. Mr. Norton has him drive around before a gathering and he soon goes out to far. They go to the cabins and Mr. Norton insist on talking to this man who got his own daughter pregnant. He wanted to know the real story so the main charachter decides to let him go talk to him. When the guy told the story...Apparently it was cold and he, his daughter, and his wife were all asleep in the same bed to keep warm, some how while he was having an odd dream about a girl and clock he ended up geting both his wife and daughter pregnant. Mr. Norton is to hot and almost passes out in the car. Invisible man goes to the "Golden Day" to get him a drink and ends up having to bring him inside. There's all these strange people there then they get back to school and he explains to someone else what happend and it goes into chapter 5.
